My bike was in the still in the shop tonight so I used my husband’s bike for a quick ride after work. In the adjustment process, we decided to put on the snazzy new Prologo Saddle that just arrived today so I could give it a try, since we were moving things around on his bike anyway.
Now, looking at this saddle many women are going to cringe. Saddle choices are pretty specific and I know many women that insist upon that cut-out thing that are a feature of many women’s specific saddles.
I can’t say I instantly liked the saddle. It took me about a mile or so to really feel the saddle. The thing I noticed at that time was that I could really feel my sit bones on the saddle. And that’s where they are supposed to be.
Because my sit bones were properly supported I didn’t feel pressure in my pelvis area that I sometimes feel.
Granted, it was a short ride so it requires more riding to know how I really like it.
Recently a friend of mine emailed me because he was in the market for a new saddle. He said that the guys at the shop told him there is a saddle that I always steer people toward. It’s the Fizik Arione and I’ve been a huge fan of this saddle for two years now, since I started riding it.
This saddle might be even better!
That saddle would look great on a new red and black Cervelo Soloist you know…. really good.
Hmmm, isn’t that like buying a pair of shoes then an outfit to go with them? But I like your way of thinking!
